Jesus told His disciples that not even He knew the time. But when God sends Him. And we are supposed to be watching and waiting with a pure and clean spirit, because like the 10 virgins, there won't be time to get ready when He does come! So any dating that man has put on this time will not be when He does come! I once heard of a man that published a book that said Why God was coming in 1988. That book sold millions of copies but we were still here after all was done. Then not to be written off as a false prophet, he wrote another book stating that he had miscalculated and it was to be 1989. Most of his books are still sitting in a warehouse unsold today and we are still waiting. We are to trust GOD and no one else lest we be deceived. And the antichrist will come on the scene and do just that IF we aren't watching and praying that we be found worthy to escape that time. Me, Im waiting for the Rapture that I believe is to come very shortly. Too many signs have been given that make us aware that it could be anytime! We live in very turbulant days and as Christians ....we need to be vigilant on getting God's Word out to the people. This so called dooms day prophecy will cause many to panic and fear......but we as Christians know the truth and the people will be asking and seeking we need to be ready with answers and to lead them to the Lord. If they gave a date for the beginning of this world as we know it which was actually when Lamech was walking the earth, several generations after Adam, I don't see why their 2012 proposed end date should be any more accurate.
